Chop 'n Shop With A Cop

Founded in 2003 by Lt. Tammy Sternard. This program provides a day of tree cutting, shopping for Christmas gifts for family members, wrapping the gifts, and just plain fun for 30 children from area Door County schools.  All area schools assisted in choosing K-5th grade children to participate in the event.   Each child was assisted by uniformed officers from the Door County Sheriff's Department, Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, City of Sturgeon Bay Police Department, as well as many volunteers from agencies within the Door County Courthouse.

This programs success is based on the donations from many local businesses, organizations, and generous individuals.  If you're interested in donating to this event, donations may be mailed to the Joint Professional Law Enforcement Association, Attn: Lt. Tammy Sternard, 1203 S. Duluth Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.  Please make checks payable to Joint Professional Law Enforcement of Door County.
